ORIENTATION & MARKETING TRAINING

This is the first activity organized in the company's Head Office. This is two full days of training & is mandatory for the promoter; head of the school or In – Charge appointed by the promoter to lead/run the school on a regular basis. During the training complete orientation to be given in contrast to developing the school, infrastructure, Pre Inauguration, Marketing Planning, Recruitment process for teaching & non-teaching staff, and advertisements activities.
In this training, trainees are exposed to Pre Inauguration measures, Inauguration Procedures, School Management systems, Software Training, and Significant Knowledge of Early Childhood & Child Care Education. Training also includes counseling tips & day to day operational challenges.

FAQs

1.1 What is the tenure of the contract between the Franchisee and Foster Kids? What happens after the expiry of tenure?
The initial tenure of the contract is 3 to 5 years. Under normal circumstances, subject to satisfactory performance of the Pre-School, the contract will be renewed

1.2 Is there any survey required for the premises & locality, where I wish to start Play School?
As per standard procedure of the company, we do not allow to set any Foster Kids school without a “Feasibility Survey” of the premises & locality. We have a well-equipped professional, experienced team, who visit the locality & see the premises irrespective of any distance or geographical location. After getting satisfactory Feasibility Finding Report, then only we sign the MOU. In case our team doesn’t find the premises suitable & commercially viable for operating the school, we refund the feasibility amount.

1.3 What are the additional charges involved in setting up the franchise?
Apart from the franchise fee, additional expenses are as follows:
1. Cost of Startup Kit, Furniture, Play, Tools, Teaching Aids, Concept Painting, Initial marketing & Publicity.
2. Costing of interiors and making it fit for a play school, will depend on the present condition of the property.

1.4 Who selects the teachers? Do Foster Kids have any selection criteria?
The teachers are selected by the franchisee in consultation with the HO academic team. We help in the selection process. We conducted a telephonic interview with our HO Academic Team. Teacher training is mandatory. This training will be conducted after clearance from the HO Academic Team. You have to decide their remuneration. They are paid as per the city standards and it also depends on their qualification and experience. Teachers should have some basic qualifications in Early Child Care Education

1.5 What is the Teacher-Student ratio to be maintained?
The recommended teacher-student ratio varies between 1:10 depending on the city, location & availability of Teachers.

1.6 When does Foster Kids train the teachers?
After the recruitment process, Foster Kids will manage Training from our corporate office. Training will be in two phases. 1. Basics of teaching skills 2.How to implement the curriculum. There is also a help desk number. One can call to get any curriculum-related query resolved

1.7 Who collects the fees from the parents? How does the franchisee get the money?
The franchisee collects the fees from the parents in cash, cheque can be collected in favor of the company. After the realization of the amount, it will be transferred back to the franchisee.

1.8 Does the franchisee need to provide food to the children?
Foster Kids does not have hard & fast rules for mid-day food. This is totally dependent on the franchisee. We have both models. We provide complete know-how like monthly meal charts & guidelines.

1.9 Which are the programs/classes for which Foster Kids provides the curriculum?
We have a four-year program, Playgroup (1.5Yrs-2.5Yrs), Nursery (2.5Yrs-3.5Yrs), LKG (3.5Yrs-4.5Yrs), UKG (4.4Yrs-5.5Yrs)

1.10 Is any approval required from any education board or municipal authority for running the preschool?
No approval is required for running a Play School. In most cities, a “Shops and Establishment Certificate” from the local Municipality may be required

1.11 There is a list of materials (Play Tools, Furniture & Teaching Aids) that Foster Kids will provide. Is it mandatory that franchisees should purchase material from Foster Kids?

Not necessary. We will provide the list of all materials which are required to implement curriculum & school operation. Franchisees can purchase the material from outside & get approval from our academic team. Quality & hygiene is the prime concern.

1.12 What is a good time to start Pre-School?
It is always a good time to start a Preschool. In preschools, admissions happen throughout the Year. Earlier a Pre-School becomes operational, the faster the parents become aware of it.

1.13 What is required to start Pre-School?
Foster Kids will send you a checklist of things to do to make the Pre-School operational. We will hold your hand & provide dedicated support/ Key Account Manager, who will be one call away from you.

1.14 Does the franchisee need to own the premise?
No. The preschool can be conducted from a leased premise also. Please note that the lease contract should have a minimum period of 3 years.

1.15 Does Foster Kids allow the franchisee to conduct other activities on the School premises after school hours?
The franchisee is free to conduct any activity after school hours with the prior permission of the HO, keeping in mind that the equipment should not get damaged while choosing the activity to conduct. We encourage some activities like Abacus, Vedic Math, Summer Camps, tuition classes & other after School activities

1.16 How much time does it take for the Preschool to become operational?
If the place is ready for possession, a Pre-School takes anything between 30-45 days to become operational
