Baskin Robbins operates on a franchise model in India.
All the Baskin Robbins Parlors are owned by individual franchisees.
There are some franchisees who own more than one Parlour.
The Franchisees are the owners of business.
They invest in the place and derive the profits from the business.
Baskin Robbins does not charge any Royalty on Sales. It also does not asks for sharing any Revenue / Profits of the Franchisee.
Baskin Robbins ensures that all the parlors enjoy a certain level of exclusivity in their respective areas. It makes it a point that no parlor opens so close to an existing parlor so that it start affecting the sales of both the parlors. However, the Franchise Agreement as such is non-exclusive.

Schedule for Opening a Baskin Robbins Store

Evaluation of site by BR Operations Team.
Franchisee interview with BR Region Head.
Signing of Franchisee Application Form & Payment of Franchise Fees.
Post approval signing of franchising agreement (5 years).
BR will provide layout plan for store (interiors and exteriors).
Work to be jointly supervised by BR team and franchisee.
Average period for construction of store – 30 days.
Simultaneous ordering of equipment and accessories from approved suppliers of BR or as per specifications
Training of franchisee and staff at an existing BR store supervised by BR operations– 2-3 weeks minimum.
